From March 6 to 9, SHK ESSEN at Messe Essen will become the showcase of the national and international top brands in the sector. The market leaders in the sanitation and heating industries will be amongst the 570 exhibitors at Germany's first trade fair of the year for sanitation, heating, air conditioning and renewable energies. The top brands from sanitation technology in Halls 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 will include, amongst others: Bette, Burgbad, Dallmer, Dornbracht, Duravit, Grohe, Hansa, Hansgrohe, Hüppe, Ideal Standard, Kaldewei, Keramag, Kermi, Keuco, Kludi, Laufen, Schell and Villeroy & Boch.
The suppliers of appropriate installation technology and drinking water systems will be called, for example: BWT, Fränkische Rohrwerke, Geberit, Georg Fischer, Grünbeck, Judo, Seppelfricke, Viega and Wavin. According to the German Engineering Federation (VDMA)/Blue Responsibility and the Industry Forum for Sanitation, the sanitation industry will also focus on the subjects of ergonomy and safety which are becoming ever more relevant particularly in view of the demographic change. The German sanitation industry will offer numerous solutions: e.g. floor-level showers, non-slip surfaces, raised WCs as well as digital features like integrated hot water limiters and electronic operating panels.
The Bathroom is Becoming a Feel-Good Location
According to a study conducted by the Future Institute, 70 percent of people want to relax in the bathroom which is becoming a feel-good location for body and soul where appealing product design and intuitive functionality are united. In this respect, cleaning-friendly materials reduce the scope of the cleaning work. Another main focal point: drinking water hygiene thanks to Internet-based building management. This includes system solutions which permit hygienic flushing operations via a smartphone, a tablet or a laptop. Drinking water hygiene has an increased significance particularly when regenerative energies are used for drinking water heating.
One defining subject of the heating manufacturers in Halls 1, 2 and 3 will be digital heating which, according to the Federation of German Heating Industry, can reduce the energy consumption by up to 15 percent. Another main focal point will relate to hybrid heating systems which combine various energy carriers. These include, for example, highly efficient gas and oil condensing boilers, heat pumps or wood-fired boilers in combination with solar thermal energy. The installations lower the energy costs by utilising the most favourable energy carrier in each case and go easy on the climate by utilising renewable energies. Attention will also focus on: the use of self-generated electricity from a photovoltaic installation for heating purposes.
Heating Manufacturers Place Their Faith in Digital Heating and Hybrid Heating Systems
The well-known exhibitors in the Heating Technology area at SHK ESSEN will include, amongst others: Brötje, Buderus, Caleffi, Danfoss, Fröling, Glen Dimplex, Grundfos, Junkers, Honeywell, IMI Hydronic Engineering, Kermi, KSB, Mitsubishi Electric, Oventrop, Remko, Rotex, Roth Werke, Stiebel Eltron, Uponor, Vaillant, Viessmann, Weishaupt, Wieland-Werke, Wilo, Wolf and Zehnder.
Not only energy-efficient and digital heating but also hygienically flawless ventilation and air conditioning systems are important for a healthy living climate. Attention will centre, for example, on energy-saving and smart technologies which recover heat and automatically adjust the required power to the needs. At SHK ESSEN, the corresponding systems will be offered, amongst other exhibitors, by Helios Ventilatoren, Kampmann, Maico Elektroapparate-Fabrik, Systemair and Trox.
Fair for Doers with EDP Solutions and Tools in the Range on Offer
As a fair for doers, SHK ESSEN will address not only architects and planners but also, in particular, skilled tradesmen. Commercial and technical software for the sector will await the visitors to Hall 1 on the booths of Data Design System, Hottgenroth Software, PDS and Trimble International. Furthermore, tools and factory equipment will be presented by Autohaus Reintges, GC Großhandels Contor, the Heinrich Schmidt group, Rems, Rothenberger, Theo Förch and WVG in Hall 7.
